Inpatient clinicals

EpicCare InpatientEpicCare Inpatient Clinical System spans all hospital departments and specialties, giving providers the tools they need to deliver safe, high-quality care. EpicCare is also highly configurable, allowing you to optimize displays, features and information access for physicians, nurses, therapists, dieticians and any other provider in the hospital setting.

Our inpatient system shares user-friendly documentation and CPOE features with the rest of our clinical suite, making it easy for users to place orders at the point of care, minimizing the administrative workload associated with care documentation and maintaining a consistent and familiar user interface. At every point in the care process, our clinical decision support system works to protect patient safety and encourage compliance with your organizational best practices.

Ambulatory EMR

EpicCare AmbulatoryThe EpicCare Ambulatory EMR is an intuitive, flexible system that physicians like to use and are quick to adopt. Features such as BestPractice Alerts and chronic disease management functionality help doctors to improve care and save lives. At the same time, EpicCare reduces or eliminates costs related to items such as duplicate testing, transcriptions and out-of-formulary medications while improving provider efficiency.

EpicCare is inherently flexible, accommodating specialty providers and facilities while ensuring that clinical information is stored in a seamless ambulatory care record.

A number of install options exist for your organization. You can use our Model System out-of-the-box to take advantage of proven settings, templates, and both primary care and specialty starter sets. Or you can create custom settings to fit virtually any need.

Handhelds

EpicOnHandEpicOnHand keeps providers up-to-date on clinical information while promoting efficient data access and charge capture at the point of care. EpicOnHand runs on Windows Mobile or Pocket PC devices, where users have the option of linking to Epic's central data repository over a wireless network or via sync cradles.

  • Charge capture — speeds charge dropping from the point of care, resulting in fewer missed charges and faster reimbursement.
  • Clinical functionality — extends accessibility to clinical summaries that include allergies, lab results, current medications, vitals, intake/output and other key information from the Epic medical record. Outside of the patient chart, providers can review their daily schedules, maintain personal rounding lists and access up-to-date hospital census information.
